Terms of Service
Last updated: May 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Catalyst Dance Company family portal at app.catalystdancekc.com (the “Portal”), operated by Catalyst Dance Company LLC. By creating an account or otherwise using the Portal, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
The Portal lets families manage dancer profiles, view class schedules, book and pay for classes, complete waivers, and receive notifications from the studio. The Portal is for parents and legal guardians; it is not intended for direct use by children.
2. Account registration
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to register. You agree to provide accurate information, including a valid email address and (if you opt in to SMS) a valid mobile phone number where you can receive messages. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at info@catalystdancekc.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Bookings, payments, and refunds
- Class fees, membership prices, and punch-card pricing are shown in the Portal at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you agree to Stripe’s terms in addition to these Terms.
- Punch cards expire on the date shown on the card.
- Memberships are monthly recurring charges that you may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds, transfers, and class cancellation policies follow the studio’s standard policy; contact us if you have questions about a specific charge.
4. Waivers
You may be required to complete a liability waiver before booking certain classes. By signing a waiver in the Portal, you confirm that you have read it and that you have authority to sign on behalf of the dancer(s) you are enrolling.
5. SMS messaging
If you opt in to SMS during registration, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Catalyst Dance Company about your bookings, payments, schedule changes, and class reminders. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out; you can opt back in by replying START.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not share your account credentials with anyone outside your household.
- Do not attempt to access another family’s account, dancer information, or payment data.
- Do not use the Portal to harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or test the security of the Portal without our written permission.
7. Intellectual property
The Portal and its content (other than information you provide) are owned by Catalyst Dance Company LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the information you provide; you grant us a limited license to use it to operate the Portal and deliver the studio’s services to you.
8. Disclaimers
The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” Catalyst Dance Company makes no warranty that the Portal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure beyond the reasonable practices described in our Privacy Policy. Dance, fitness, and movement activities carry inherent risks; the Portal is a scheduling and recordkeeping tool and does not modify the risks or releases set out in any waiver you sign.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Catalyst Dance Company LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Portal. Our aggregate liability arising from the Portal is limited to the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Portal in a way that creates risk for the studio or for other families. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (for example, payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of KS, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in or serving KS have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Portal after a change indicates acceptance.
